The  CompuTrainer lets you train on your own bicycle while varying the resistance automatically through a computer controlled course program. 

Ride alone, with a buddy, a virtual pacer, or ride with a group

Our CompuTrainer Suite has room for up to 8 riders. You get group motivation and an individualized workout at the same time. The computer actually adjusts the resistance for you. The CompuTrainer can even base workouts on heart rate, wattage or a course profile! An hour on the CompuTrainer is equivalent to two hours outside. There's no coasting and no stop lights, so there's no pause in your workout. You will definitely notice a difference in your riding and your fitness.

Train Yourself / Individual CompuTrainer Rides

Cyclelab is pleased to provide cyclists and triathletes with the most advanced CompuTrainer Studio available.  Beyond our Multi-Rider System Programs, we offer local cyclists the opportunity to utilize our CompuTrainer system on an individual basis. You can utilize the CompuTrainer to master basic cycling skills without worrying about the traffic or the weather. Moreover, you can select from hundreds of available courses. 

Don’t want to drive to Albany, the Waitakeres or Alfriston? Is rain or cold weather keeping you out of the saddle? Call us and schedule an hour or two on one of our CompuTrainers.

Once you have scheduled a time, simply bring your bike and gear and we’ll get you hooked up.  If you are training for a specific ride or triathlon, chances are we have the course in our library of pre-loaded courses.

 

 

Multirider

CompuTrainer multirider sessions are a great way to optimize your training time. Up to 8 riders simultaneously complete a course, with each rider's progress, speed and power projected onto the big screen for the interactive feel. The setup helps you train smart and have a great time.

The MultiRider Software now allows group rides with drafting. Check the calendar to see if drafting will be turned on or if the course will be completed as a time trial. Interval sessions will often be done using the coaching software -- software that allows each person to work at their personal target for the prescribed amount of time.

Group Training and Coaching allows for non-competitive group training in which each rider performs at his own level. We can train individual athletes in ergometer mode -- a key feature of the CompuTrainer system.  The race administrator or coach will enter an athlete's threshold value and then create a special "time-versus-percent threshold" test for all athletes to follow.  So each rider will be doing the same test, but all at differing workloads!

 

Schedule

The CompuTrainer session plans are for morning and evening orgainsed sessions, six days per week with drop-in sessions available any time.

Morning rides begin at 6:30 am and 9:30am sharp; potential riders should call to book a spot and plan on arriving 20 minutes in advance to complete setup.

Evening rides begin at 6:00pm sharp; potential riders should call to book a spot and plan on arriving by 5:40 to complete setup.

Riders may book individual or group training sessions any time the facility is available.

Favourite ride rained out? Call an hour ahead and you may be able to do the course indoors. For each session you will need your bike, riding shoes and clothes. Don't forget a water bottle to keep you hydrated.

Introductory classes are always available during regular store hours for $20.00.
