BRETT GRIEVE

Brett is a competitive cyclist, family man and adventurer with significant experience in remote location logistics, operations and teamwork gained through a full career within the NZDF.

He has raced at the elite level on a number of teams over the last five years as a competitive cyclist and understands the tactical complexity of road racing. He is a strong time trialist and has a good understanding of the process of obtaining best speed in this individual discipline, which translates easily in other endurance sport contexts such as triathlon, mountain biking and running.

Brett has dabbled in running, triathlon and multisport and enjoys a new challenge. As a teenager, he competed in motocross and cross country mountain biking before settling on road cycling as his preferred event.

His riding style is aggressive, preferring the breakaway to the main peloton, and his strengths are strong VO2max 5 min power, descending and all day endurance.
